Pakistan has resolved to send emergency humanitarian relief supplies to Gaza in response to the human tragedy occurring there, in an effort to lessen the suffering of its Palestinian brothers and sisters.
Pakistan dispatch humanitarian assistance to Gaza: A spokesperson for the Foreign Office (FO) stated in a statement that the already oppressed people of the densely populated Gaza Strip were in urgent need of humanitarian assistance following the indiscriminate Israeli onslaught and siege of the Gaza Strip.
In order to lessen the suffering of the Palestinian people, Pakistan has made the decision to provide humanitarian aid to Gaza.
The statement said, “To finalise delivery mechanisms, the Government of Pakistan is liaising with the Palestinian Red Crescent Society, relevant UN organisations, the Government of Egypt, and Pakistan Missions overseas.
After Hamas fighters crossed the strongly guarded border and killed more than 1,400 people, Israel declared war on the terrorist organisation.
In the impoverished and blockaded Gaza Strip, Israel’s continuous bombing in response has killed at least 2,670 individuals, the most of them regular Palestinians.
Anwaarul Haq Kakar, the caretaker prime minister of Pakistan, demanded an immediate end to hostilities and the easing of the embargo on Gaza earlier in the day.
The acting prime minister declared Pakistan’s unwavering support for the oppressed people of Palestine on X (formerly Twitter).
“PM Kakar Condemns Gaza Bloodshed”
In a statement about the increasing bloodshed and fatalities in Gaza, Prime Minister Kakar expressed his grave worry and claimed that Israel’s purposeful, indiscriminate, and disproportionate targeting of civilians violated all standards of decency and was a clear breach of international law.
PM Kakar added that the recent escalation in violence must be seen in light of the long-standing forced and illegal occupation of Palestinian territory and the oppressive measures taken against its citizens.
The prime minister stated that the UN and the international community must promptly take action to establish secure and unhindered humanitarian corridors for the swift delivery of supplies to the beleaguered Gaza Strip.
In response to the rapidly deteriorating situation in Gaza, he claimed that Pakistan is closely collaborating with the OIC and its member states.
He said that on Wednesday, OIC Executive Committee Emergency Meeting, Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani would speak and demand immediate action to ease Gazans’ suffering.
