In the 32nd match of the ICC World Cup 2023, which took place on Wednesday at the Maharashtra Cricket Association in Pune, India, South Africa triumphed against New Zealand by 190 runs.
South Africa beat New Zealand: Some of the Black Caps’ primary hitters failed to score in double digits, and as a result, the in-form Proteas outperformed them in every aspect of the game.
Despite Will Young being the second-highest scorer with 33 runs, Glenn Phillips led his team with 60 runs as the game came to a close. However, nothing could separate them from the enormous 358-run objective.
Rachin Ravindra, the Black Caps’ greatest hope after hitting 116 in a thrilling match against Australia, was bowled over by Marco Jansen with just nine runs in the bank.
After losing wicket after wicket, New Zealand was eventually all out for 167 runs.
Jenses took three, Gerald Coetzee made two, and Keshav Maharaj took four.

Temba Bavuma gave his team a strong start when he batted first, but after scoring 24 runs, Trent Boult got rid of him.
“After their captain was remove, Quinton de Kock and Rassie van der Dussen, however, achieved a 200-run partnership, with the former scoring 114 runs, marking his fourth century of the World Cup.”
De Kock maintained his incredible form, surpassing the illustrious Sri Lankan wicketkeeper batter who scored 543 runs in the 2015 World Cup to become the wicketkeeper batter with the highest runs in a single tournament edition with 545 in seven innings.
Along with his 133 runs off 118 balls, Dussen, 34, also hit five sixes and nine fours to help the Proteas get close to the enormous total.
But once the two batsmen were out of the game, David Miller struck quickly, scoring 53 off 30 balls and six boundaries to lead the Proteas to a competitive 357 runs, a total the Black Caps were unable to match.
When facing South Africa’s formidable hitters, the bowlers from New Zealand appeared powerless.
On November 4 in Bengaluru, the Black Caps and Pakistan will play a crucial game. The outcome of the match could determine who advances to the semi-final.
However, South Africa will now play India in Kolkata on November 5.
