Hezbollah claimed that it had used a surface-to-air missile to destroy an Israeli drone over southern Lebanon; Israel’s military, although acknowledging the missile launch, said that its aircraft had sustained “no damage.”
Hezbollah downs Israeli drone: Hezbollah claimed to have shot down an Israeli drone with a surface-to-air missile for the second time this week. Meanwhile, Israel is waging a military invasion against the leaders of the Hamas organisation in Gaza, which is causing cross-border conflicts to worsen.
In a statement, Hezbollah claimed that just after midnight, its fighters shot down the drone over two villages on the Lebanese side of the border.
It remarked, “It crashed and fell instantly.”
According to the Israeli military, a surface-to-air missile fired from Lebanon targeted one of their drones.
Without identifying the perpetrator, the military stated in a statement that it had “stricken the terrorist cell that fired the missile and the launch site” in retaliation.
The statement stated, “The (drone) sustained no damage.” Both sides offered no proof for their assertions.
