An accountability court in Islamabad called Asif Ali Zardari, the co-chairman of the PPP, to appear on December 18 in connection with the Thatta Water Supply case.
Thatha Water Supply reference: Judge Muhammad Bashir heard the reference on Wednesday, according to News, and ordered the former president and 14 other people to appear in court on the next hearing date.
Aijaz Ahmad Khan, a former secretary, Ali Akbar Abro, Aijaz Memon, Abdul Ghani Majeed, Manahil Majeeb, and Nadeem Bhutto were among the accused.
Before the NAO changes, they charged the PPP co-chairman in the water supply reference in October 2020. It stemmed from the case of the fraudulent bank accounts.
Additionally, The water supply reference pertained to the alleged improper awarding of a contract to a private contractor by the Special Initiative Department for the Thatta water supply network. This case revolved around accusations of irregularities in the contract procurement process, potentially involving corruption and favoritism.
