Balochistan sourced winds cool Sindh

Must Read

On Wednesday, temperatures remained low throughout Sindh due to icy cold gusts from snow-covered Balochistan that gusted at a maximum winds-cool speed of nearly 45 km/h.

The town of Chhor in the Thar desert’s Umerkot district recorded the lowest temperature ever—two degrees Celsius.

While the usual low temperature for Karachi was around 7.5 degrees, the mercury dropped to a minimum of 5.9 degrees Celsius at Jinnah International Terminal early in the morning.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department’s Early Warning Center issued a cold wave warning for Thursday and Friday. According to PMD, winds with “greater than average speed could blow in the city,” and because of gusty gusts, the severity of the cold may worsen.

For the upcoming few days, the light sea breeze will not be present due to the strong winds blowing south from North East Balochistan.
