Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would fly from France to London on Friday (today) to meet with PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif.
PM Shehbaz leave London to meet Nawaz: Senior party leaders will also join in the conference through video link, according to PML-N sources.
They further stated that a thorough dialogue between the attendees of the meeting would take place over the impending elections’ date, the names of potential caretaker prime ministers, and other issues.
According to insiders, the conference will also cover potential seat modifications with affiliated political parties.
ECP quickens general election preparations
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) began printing postal ballots a day earlier as part of its general election preparations.
For the National Assembly, the electoral commission will produce 10,26,000 postal ballots, and for the Punjab Assembly, 4,45,500.
The electoral commission will produce 76,500 ballots for the Balochistan Assembly, 1,95,000 ballots for the Sindh Assembly, and 1,72,500 ballots for the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly.
It should be noted that postal ballots will also be prepared for Pakistan Army personnel stationed at international borders and for government employees assigned to locations other than their homes.
In its budget for the fiscal year 2023–2024, the federal government has set up Rs 42.4 billion for general elections.
