Ali Mardan Domki named Balochistan Caretaker CM

In a unanimous vote, the representatives have selected Ali Mardan Domki as the interim Chief Minister (CM) of Balochistan.


Ali Mardan Balochistan Caretaker CM: “After significant debate, they have chosen Ali Mardan Domki as the Chief Minister of Balochistan.” Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F) has now accepted Domki’s name thanks to the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP).

Sources indicate that JUI-F leaders will receive ministerial positions in the interim government of Balochistan. Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, the chief minister of Balochistan, has not yet approved the appointment of Domki as the interim chief minister.

On the recommendation of the chief minister, Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, Balochistan Governor Malik Abdul Wali Kakar dissolved the provincial assembly on August 12.

Additionally, “I, Malik Abdul Wali Khan Kakar, Governor Balochistan, officially announce the dissolution of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan in accordance with instructions from Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, the Chief Minister of Balochistan, and as permitted by the provisions stated in Article 112(1) of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan 1973. Further, This action becomes effective at 5:00 p.m. on August 12, 2023, according to the formal announcement made by the Governor House.

The provincial cabinet has also been dismissed along with the parliament. Prior to the appointment of a caretaker chief minister, CM Bizenjo is carrying out his duties.
