Anwaar-ul-Haq take oath today: The interim prime minister will be sworn in by President Arif Alvi. After the swearing-in ceremony, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will welcome the interim PM. The new prime minister will receive a guard of honour.
Later, Shehbaz, the departing prime minister, will examine a guard of honour.

As per the constitution, the dissolution of the National Assembly last week has necessitated the holding of elections within 90 days.

The Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) announced on Saturday that Senator Anwarul Haq Kakar would serve as interim prime minister of Pakistan.
