The Information claimed on Friday, citing four people who worked on the headgear, that Apple Inc. is creating software to assist users of its future mixed-reality (MR) headset in creating their own augmented reality applications.

MR headset from the iPhone maker is scheduled to debut at this year’s spring event and will cost about $3,000.

The Quest Pro virtual and mixed reality headgear from Meta Platforms Inc. debuted late last year for $1,500. It would cost twice as much at that price.
