Asia Cup 2023: Pakistan announce playing XI for Sri Lanka clash

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) released the playing XI for Pakistan’s final Asia Cup 2023 Super 4s match against Sri Lanka on Wednesday.

Pakistan playing XI for Sri Lanka: The Pakistani team made five adjustments from the lineup that lost to India by a score of 228 runs on Monday.

Mohammad Wasim Jr. and Zaman Khan take the position of injured pacers Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah, while Mohammad Haris and Saud Shakeel take the place of opening batters Fakhar Zaman and Salman Ali Agha. In addition, all-arounder Mohammad Nawaz makes a comeback in place of Faheem Ashraf, who missed the first two Super 4 games.

On Monday, the selection of backup pacers Shahnawaz Dahani and Zaman Khan occurred because fast bowlers Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah developed aches and pains during the match against India.
