After playing to a 1-1 tie with the defending champions Korea on Friday, Pakistan remained winless in the ongoing Asian Hockey Champions Trophy in Chennai, India, according to Radio Pakistan.

Pak-Korea match ends in draw: On Thursday, Pakistan’s first game was lost to Malaysia 3-1. In the 18th minute, Abdul Hanan Shahid made a single field goal for Pakistan.

In the 53rd minute, Jeon Young of Korea tied the score at 1-1 with a penalty shot.

Both teams gave it their all, but couldn’t add another goal. The score was 1-1 as the game ended in a draw.

Pakistan’s third game is against Japan on Sunday, their fourth is against China on Monday, and their fifth is against longtime foe India on the ninth of this month.

The most successful teams in the competition are Pakistan and India, each of whom has won the Asian Champions Trophy three times.

In the 2021 final in Dhaka, Bangladesh, Korea defeated Japan on penalties to win the championship.

The 2023 Asian Hockey Champions Trophy got underway on August 3 and will conclude on August 12 with a game.
