In separate instances, an accountability court in Islamabad has summoned former leaders Yousuf Raza Gilani and Asif Ali Zardari.

Zardari and Gillani summoned in NAB cases: Politicians in the Toshakhana and bogus bank account cases have both received summons notifications from the accountability court.

On October 24, Asif Zardari and Yousuf Raza Gilani must physically appear in the Toshakhana case.

Asif Zardari has also received a summons to appear before Accountability Court No. 3 in connection with the case concerning fraudulent bank accounts on October 24.

“It has come to light that they have transferred cases involving fake bank accounts against Asif Ali Zardari, his sister Faryal Talpur, and others to Karachi.”

Sources claim that the Karachi banking court has received the cases’ documentation.

Anwar Majeed, the CEO of Omni Group, has petitioned the court to have his name removed from the exit control list. He filed an appeal with the court, requesting the removal of his name from the no-fly list, stating, “I want to leave the country for medical treatment abroad.”

The attorney informed that they had sent the fake bank account cases to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) court in Islamabad in November 2019, but the cases have since been return to Karachi.
