A bus in Kotli, Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) collapsed into a steep ravine, killing at least nine persons and injuring more.
Bus plunges in AJK: Details indicate that a bus carrying 35 people off the road fell within the boundaries of Kotli’s Narpoth police station.
Nine individuals died as a result, while numerous others were hurt. According to the rescuers, all passengers were returning to Gujranwala after attending a Urs celebration in the Nairian region near Kotli.
When rescue crews arrived, they transported the injured and deceased to the District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital in Mirpur. Because some of the injured were in severe condition, according to rescue sources, the death toll could increase further.
Seven family members perished in a similar event this March when the automobile they were riding in crashed into a canal in Khanpur tehsil of Rahim Yar Khan district.
When their car crashed into the Abbasia canal near Kot Samaba 86-pul, up to nine members of the same family were on their way from Khanpur to Rahim Yar Khan.
