Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy on Wednesday in Brussels, Prime Minister Alexander De Croo said that Belgium will begin sending F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine in 2025 and will also handle their maintenance.
Belgium send fighter jets to Ukraine: According to De Croo, Belgium will be able to provide F-16s to Ukraine starting in 2025.
Depending on the choice made at the time by the government, De Croo remarked, “They will be at your disposal.”
The maintenance of the aircraft and training for Ukrainian troops to perform the maintenance will be provided by Belgium, which also houses the headquarters of NATO and the European Union.
De Croo stated that the taxation on earnings from frozen Russian assets will continue to fund Ukraine’s needs for military hardware, relief, and reconstruction operations in the coming year, amounting to 1.7 billion euros ($1.80 billion).
