The mid-size crossover Oshan X7 has begun exporting to Kenya by the automaker Master Changan Motors Ltd, a joint venture between Changan of China and Master Motors of Pakistan.

Pakistan export vehicles to Kenya: Additionally, containers that are transporting Oshan X7 vehicles from the company’s Karachi plant to the port have been seen in Karachi.

A considerable number of Oshan X7 SUVs will be exported to the African country, according to sources with knowledge of the situation, who put the amount in the double digits.

The development is presently being kept under wraps since the company plans to formally disclose its export strategy on Thursday, October 12, at a ceremony at its facility in Karachi.

Changan Pakistan CEO Danial Malik has previously made a point of expressing his company’s desire to export right-hand drive automobiles made for Pakistan to other countries. For the domestic market, the parent business initially produced left-hand drive automobiles.

Danial has also previously stated that wholesalers in South Africa, Malaysia, Indonesia, and other nations with a preponderance of right-hand drive automobiles would purchase Changan’s Pakistan-assembled vehicles.

The discovery also occurs at a time when runaway inflation and excessive business costs are severely distressing Pakistan’s economy.

Currently, interest rates are at an all-time high, which is reducing demand for automobiles as well.

In the meantime, Pakistani car prices have also gone up dramatically, further straining already strapped consumers’ wallets.

The government has been pressuring the car industry, which heavily relies on imported materials, to increase exports; the initial target was set at 2% of total imports. However, this objective was not achieved in FY23.
