State broadcaster China Central Television (CCTV) reported on Wednesday that China and Venezuela have signed multiple bilateral cooperation documents focusing on a range of topics, including the economy, trade, and tourism.
China Venezuela sign agreements: Following a visit in Beijing, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro inked the agreements to foster closer connections between the two nations.
According to official media, Xi emphasised that the two nations are “good friends with mutual trust” and that they are “partners with shared development.”
Xi also mentioned that the 50th anniversary of China and Venezuela’s establishing diplomatic ties will occur in 2019.
Along with these agreements, the two nations also agreed to cooperate in science, technology, civil aviation, and aerospace.
According to Chinese state media, Venezuela stated its active support for China’s Belt and Road Initiative to improve global trade infrastructure, referring to the meeting scheduled in China next month. According to China, more than 150 nations and more than 30 international organisations have signed cooperation agreements with the Belt and Road Initiative.
Venezuela, according to Maduro, is also ready to engage closely with China within multilateral organisations like the BRICS mechanism and the UN.
The major developing economies of Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa (BRICS) recently backed growth and welcomed new members, and Venezuela is actively pursuing participation in the club.
