Chinese Premier to attend G20: Premier of the State Council Li Qiang will attend the 18th G20 Summit, which will take place in New Delhi, India, on September 9 and 10, at the request of the government of the Republic of India, according to a press release from Mao Ning.

On Sunday, Joe Biden expressed dissatisfaction with President Xi Jinping’s cancellation of his attendance at the summit of world leaders.

When they brought up Xi’s trip to New Delhi during a routine news briefing, Mao responded, “I just made an announcement about this.”

Premier Li Qiang will head a delegation to the G20 Leaders’ Summit in New Delhi, India. The G20 is a crucial venue for global economic cooperation, I can assure you of that.

The Group of 20 major economies comprises 19 nations and the European Union (EU), representing approximately 85% of the global GDP and two-thirds of the world’s population.

China has always given important events a high priority and actively participated in them, said Mao.

However, Premier Li Qiang will attend this meeting to represent China’s views and positions on G20 collaboration, urging the G20 to deepen its unity and cooperation, and collaborating to address the world’s economic and development difficulties.

Furthermore, “We are willing to work with all parties to jointly push for the success of the G20 Leaders’ Summit and to actively promote a stable global economic recovery and sustainable development,” the statement reads.

“When reporters asked about reports that Xi will not attend the meeting in New Delhi, Biden responded to reporters without going into further detail, saying, ‘I am disappointed, but I am going to get to see him.'”
