Jail admin excuses present PTI chairman in IHC: The PTI Chairman’s transfer from jail to court, according to details, may pose a security risk.

The Attock jail officials also requested that the former prime minister not appear in court on September 25.

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) had scheduled the hearing of the bail request in the cypher case earlier, which involves the former prime minister and PTI chairman.

The registrar’s office has released the matter list, and PTI Chairman’s bail application will be heard by IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq on Monday (tomorrow).

On August 5, the court found Imran Khan, the chairman of the PTI, guilty in the Toshakhana case and sentenced him to prison.

Case cypher

Authorities arrested Imran Khan, the leader of the PTI, and his deputy chairman for deliberately missing a copy of the diplomatic cypher, which is relevant to mention here.

They recorded the first information report (FIR) for the Official Secrets Act on August 15 in response to the Home Secretary’s complaint.

Additionally, Azam Khan, a former principal secretary to the PTI chairman and former prime minister, made shocking revelations that led to the filing of the case. Further, He said that the former PM had utilised US money for his “political gains” and to prevent a motion of no-confidence against him.

Azam Khan, who had previously been “missing” for several months, unexpectedly showed up in front of the action and made shocking discoveries regarding the US Cypher while giving a magistrate his statement as required by CrPC 164.
