Raja Azam Khan has been proposed as the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf’s (PTI) nominee for the position of Gilgit Baltistan’s next chief minister. PTI currently holds a majority in the legislature with 22 members.
Further, For the position of chief minister, Amjad Hussain Advocate, Raja Azam of the PTI, Mohammad Anwar, an engineer, of the PML-N, and Rehmat Khaliq, a member of the JUI, have all filed their papers.
Additionally, Haji Gulbar Khan, an estranged member of the GB PTI, declared, “We condemn the May 09 incidents.”
However, The Gilgit-Baltistan Assembly has a total of 33 members, including one independent, 22 PTI members, five PPP members, three PML-N members, three JUI-F members, and one each from MWM and JUI-F.
