Court grants physical remand of Pervaiz Elahi: Pervaiz Elahi was placed under physical remand after the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) requested it in the corruption case being handled by Judge Shehzad Kyani.

According to the prosecutor, Waris Janjua, two Gujrat district constituencies have been given the go-ahead for 72 billion rupee development projects. As the province’s chief minister, Elahi gave the projects his approval.

The prosecutor claimed that “Moonis Ilahi fixed kicks back in these projects.” “The money was paid before completion of these projects,” he claimed.

“Heavy amounts were paid for all these projects within a week,” he continued.

Additionally, Amjad Pervaiz, the defence attorney, urged with the court to allow Elahi to bring food and medication into his home. The prosecution stated, “He is already receiving food and medication at home.”

Amjad Pervaiz, Elahi’s attorney, also asked the court to allow Elahi to meet with his wife, son, and lawyer.

The former chief minister was given a physical remand until Monday and told to appear in court on August 21.
