The Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP), Umar Ata Bandial, the court would not get involved in economic problems because it lacks the necessary knowledge.
The court does not interfere in economic matters: The CJP made these comments while serving as the chair of a three-person bench that heard a case involving the privatization of K-Electric (KE).
During the hearings, CJP Bandial requested that Rashid Rizvi, the petitioner’s attorney, contact the relevant high court.
He stated that the Parliament had passed two laws about Article 184’s clause 3. Finally, he inquired if any older cases were set for hearings so that the matter may be seen in action.
According to attorney Salahuddin, an application had been made against the KSC Labour Union. However, Justice Ayesha Malik said the subject was not before the court.
The petitioner’s attorney begged the hearing to be postponed until the following week. However, Chief Justice Bandial said judges wouldn’t be available because the court would be on vacation starting next week.
Before the subsequent hearing, he instructed the attorney to get instructions. The case was then postponed until Tuesday.
