A multi-year deal between the Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) of Dubai and the Spanish football team Real Madrid will deliver “a range of exciting activations, special fan moments, and unique experiences for Dubai and Real Madrid fans.”

Dubai and Real Madrid sign deal: According to a statement released by DET on Thursday, “the newly formed alliance will equally serve as a powerhouse platform to create new growth opportunities for both institutions, and support Dubai’s ambitious plans as part of its recently announced Dubai Economic Agenda – D33.”

It continued by saying that having the greatest club in the world at the forefront of international sports entertainment “aligns perfectly” with Dubai’s aims to solidify its place among the top three cities in the world.

The agreement, which will begin in October, will involve both Real Madrid’s First Men and Women’s Football Teams and will introduce a touch of Dubai to Real Madrid’s home stadium, Santiago Bernabéu.

The partnership was formally established by H.E. Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, and Florentino Perez, President of Real Madrid Club de Ftbol, at a ceremony held in Ciudad Real Madrid’s illustrious Sala de Juntas in the presence of Jose Angel Sanchez, CEO of the club, and Emilio Butragueo, Director of Institutional Relations for Real Madrid.

“We are excited to start our journey with Real Madrid as a global partner,” Kazim declared.

The statement said, “We are building this game-changing partnership between Dubai and the world’s greatest club on a shared vision and values, where every success serves as a catalyst to reach new heights.”

“Real Madrid’s Strategic Alliance with Dubai: Elevating the Best City Experience”

In order to confirm Dubai as the best city in the world to visit, live, and work in, he continued, “the strategic alliance will harness the strengths of a leading destination and the world’s most celebrated team.”

“We look forward to enjoying great success together, and showcasing Dubai and Real Madrid’s winning spirit to the world,” said Kazim. “Driven by our mutual dedication to excellence, leadership, talent, and innovation.”

Emilio Butragueo, who shared this value with the Club, highlighted Dubai as a location that seeks quality in all of its entertainment offers. “Introducing this wonderful tourism destination to our millions of Madridistas around the world thrills us.”

The DET statement stated that the connection is a continuation of one that Emirates and the club have had since 2011, when the airline became the club’s official principal sponsor.

They also mentioned that they announced the partnership before the forthcoming Real Madrid theme park at Dubai Parks and Resorts.

Real Madrid and Dubai Parks and Resorts signed a contract in November of last year to open the first Real Madrid theme park in the Middle East. The park will include several Real Madrid-related attractions, including a museum, amusement rides, and football skill games, as well as food and beverage outlets, as well as retail locations selling official Real Madrid merchandise.

In the fourth quarter of 2023, the park is scheduled to open in the Middle East.
