The chief secretary and inspector general of Sindh have received a letter from the Election Commission of Pakistan regarding a rule infringement.

According to the letter, the government is continuing to provide protocol to former government ministers in defiance of the Commission’s directives.

The ECP informed the IG and chief secretary that they had also received a letter from the ECP on August 15 on the protocol.

The request in the letter is for the government to stop providing any protocol to former ministers and to produce a report on the situation within three days.

The ECP has instructed the Balochistan interim administration in a separate letter to reassign several key positions within the provincial bureaucracy. The government received a request to transfer the additional chief secretaries of development, home, finance, and administration.
