The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and the Returning Officer (RO) must now receive the election results as soon as possible from the presiding officer, who is in charge of monitoring voting places.
The commission will require giving the constituency’s voter list to the RO 30 days prior to the election.
In the event that the internet is down, the presiding officer will deliver the real outcome directly.
The bill suggests a deadline of 2 AM on the day after the election for the presiding officer to declare the results in order to ensure promptness. If there is a delay, a specific explanation must be given.
By 10am the following day, the final results must be made public.

Election day duty will not be permitted for poll workers in their tehsil. Within ten days, the candidates may object to the poll workers’ deployment.

The ECP will resolve violations of the code of conduct in 7 days rather than 15 as originally planned.
