A blast on Monday near the Prime Hospital Complex on Peshawar’s Warsak Road resulted in at least one martyr from the Frontier Constabulary (FC) and eight injuries among civilians.

Peshawar in blast: Reports indicate that the attack targeted a vehicle belonging to the Mohmand Rifles regiment of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa FC, using an improvised explosive device (IED) to cause the explosion.

The Combined Military Hospital (CMH) received the injured patients.

Caretaker KP Chief Minister Mohammad Azam Khan, meanwhile, denounced the event and ordered hospital staff to give the injured patients the best care possible.

The event occurred the day after a fierce gunfight between militants and security officers in KP’s Chitral district resulted in the deaths of seven terrorists and critical injuries to another six.

The soldiers successfully engaged the terrorists’ location, according to a statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Sunday.

The statement confirms ongoing efforts to sanitize the area and eliminate any lingering militants, underscoring their commitment to security and stability in the region.

However, “The military’s media wing announced that they are sanitizing the area to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area.”
