FIFA to pay out $209 million to clubs

The governing body of football announced on Thursday that it will distribute $209 million to clubs whose players participated in the World Cup finals in Qatar last year.

FIFA pay out $209 million to clubs: They will distribute the money to 440 groups from 51 different nations whose members participated in the Argentina-winning event in November and December of last year.

Regardless of how many minutes they played during the World Cup, Fifa will pay everyone of the 837 football players a daily sum of $10,950.

The club or clubs, to which the players were affiliated during the two years prior to the Qatar Finals, receive and distribute the allocated sum for each player. This ensures that the funds are received by the respective clubs based on their affiliations during that period.

In comparison, Fifa paid each player $8,530 for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, so this is an increase.

With a combined amount of $37,713,297, a total of 46 English teams will be the largest recipients in Qatar, followed by clubs from Spain, Germany, Italy, and France.

With a total of $4,596,445, Manchester City will get the highest payment for a single club, followed by Barcelona ($4,538,955) and Bayern Munich ($4,331,809).

FIFA and the European Club Association reached an agreement earlier this year, stating that they would allocate $355 million to clubs as part of the program for the 2026 and 2030 World Cups.
