The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) announced on Thursday that it has reached a free trade agreement with Pakistan.
GCC and Pakistan sign agreement: GCC Secretary General Jasem Al Budaiwi and Pakistani Trade Minister Gohar Ejaz both signed the accord.
According to Mr. Al Budaiwi, the preliminary agreement acknowledges the significance of fostering economic and trade ties with nations and global blocs.
During the signing ceremony at the General Secretariat’s Riyadh headquarters on Thursday, they made the announcement.
The pact, according to Mr. Al Budaiwi, is a “historic economic agreement” and a “turning point in cooperation.”
According to him, the deal would “contribute to the growth and prosperity in a way that serves the common interests of both sides”.
According to Mr. Al Budaiwi, GCC nations are moving forward with free trade talks with other nations in an effort to expand and improve the prospects for trade and economic cooperation for the council’s member states on a regional and global scale.
