A significant increase in the price of gold in Pakistan in accordance with the global market and the depreciation of the Pakistani Rupee.

Gold price in Pakistan records increase: The price of gold (24 carats) climbed by Rs 6,200 per tola and Rs 5,316 per 10 grammes to settle at Rs 221,000 and Rs 189,472 respectively, according to the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA).

In the meantime, the price of the yellow metal increased by $10 to end the day at $1,967 per ounce on the world market.

Additionally, the prices for a tola and a ten-gram piece of silver remained the same at Rs. 2,650 and Rs. 2,271.94 respectively.

Pakistan’s gold price has fluctuated recently due to ongoing political and economic unrest, as well as severe inflation.

On the other hand, according to data from the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the Pakistani rupee fell by Rs3.78 in the interbank market on Tuesday.

The US dollar increased by 1.34 percent from yesterday’s closure of Rs279.26 to Rs283.04 at the time of closing. Since the IMF lending package was approved last week, the Pakistani rupee has increased by more than Rs10.

A day earlier, the price of gold in Pakistan increased in accordance with global trends, rising by Rs 1,600 per tola (24 carats) and Rs 131 per 10 grammes.
