In Karachi. On Thursday, the price of a tola of gold in Pakistan increased by Rs500 to reach Rs196,100, barely recovering from losses of Rs1,400 a tola the day before.
According to data from the All-Pakistan Sarafa Gems and Jewellers Association (APSGJA), the cost of 10 grammes of 24 karat gold increased by Rs429 to settle at Rs168,124.
Nonetheless, the price of gold declined by $14 per ounce to settle at $1826 on the international market, showing a downward trend for the commodity.
In the meantime, the cost of silver in the domestic market remained constant at Rs. 2,150 for a tola and Rs. 1,843 for a gramme.
