The Ministry of Petroleum is ready to start hitting customers with higher petrol prices from October 1.

Govt increase gas prices: Sources close to the ministry have reported that a developed report suggests an increase in petrol prices of up to 200%. The initiative attempts to increase protected gas customers’ set monthly fees.

The expected increase in the price of petrol for domestic users is an unsettling 172%, and there are plans to raise the fixed levies from Rs 10 to Rs 400.

Additionally, the cost of petrol might climb dramatically by up to 198.33% for other consumers.

The sources suggested that the implementation of this petrol price hike should start at the beginning of October. They will ask the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) to approve the report describing the proposed increase in petrol prices.
