After more than a year of waiting, the Balochistan government finally began the much-anticipated green bus service on Monday in Quetta.

Green bus service launched in Quetta: Eight buses would first travel a predetermined route from Balochistan University to the Beleli customs airport road.

Dr. Faisal Khan, the chief executive officer of the Balochistan Public Private Partnership, stated in a statement that the first-ever green bus service in Balochistan is beginning in Quetta today.

To reach Balochistan University, the proposed route for Green Buses includes Airport Road, Zarghoon Road, and Sariab Road. This plan aims to provide convenient transportation options for students and faculty members, ensuring easy access to the university campus.

The fleet of eight buses will provide modern transit services to the people of Balochistan in addition to promoting environmentally responsible transportation options in the province.

Jam Kamal Khan, a former chief minister of Balochistan, is the one who credited the project with his blessing.

Earlier this month, Mir Abdul Quddus Bizenjo, the chief minister of Balochistan, said it was fantastic news for Quetta citizens, particularly students. Further, He expressed his happiness at launching Quetta’s long-awaited and urgently required premium public transport system.
