Bhogle attacked the media outlets on Twitter for publishing the report on the claims without using a reliable source.
Before publishing any information that can harm someone’s reputation, the Indian pundit highlighted the necessity to verify assertions.

A social media user erroneously claimed that the Pakistan captain had promised a woman that if she continued to sext with her lover, his status in the team’s XI would be secure. This criticism, however, appears to have originated from the Twitter user @niiravmodi, who considers his account a “parody.” His account is marked as verified with a blue tick by Twitter Blue, which may have led some users to believe he is a reliable news source.
Despite the accusations, Babar Azam’s supporters stood by their captain, calling the claims a “hoax” and a “plot.” On Twitter on Monday, the hashtags #WeStandWithBabar and #StayStrongBabarAzam were also among the most popular ones.
