The ICC will look into Mickey Arthur’s claim that the India-Pakistan World Cup encounter on October 14 in Ahmedabad felt more like a bilateral series game, according to ESPNcricinfo.
ICC to review Mickey Arthur’s comments: When asked to respond to Arthur’s remarks, ICC chairman Greg Barclay described them as typical criticism heard at similar competitions.
While addressing the International Olympic Committee Session in Mumbai, Barclay stated, “Every event we have, there’s always criticisms from various corners.
Things that we might take away and attempt to improve upon… So, this is just the beginning of the event. Let’s wait and watch how everything turns out, after which we’ll assess what could alter, what we can do better, and how to enhance cricket World Cups in particular as well as the overall cricket offering.

It is important to note that following Pakistan’s game against India, Arthur poked fun of cricket’s governing body, stating the lack of support for his team in Ahmedabad’s 132,000-seat stadium made the event seem more like “a BCCI event” than a major international match-up.
To put it bluntly, it didn’t seem like an ICC event. According to him, it appeared to be a bilateral series or a BCCI (Board of Control for Cricket in India) event.
Arthur said that by declining to play Dil Dil Pakistan, the country’s unofficial song, the public address system organisers were favouring India.
