The Islamabad High Court (IHC) rescheduled the hearing on the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman’s plea to shift from Attock Jail to Adialia.

IHC adjourns plea seeking shift Adiala Jail: The attorney representing the PTI chairman, Naeem Hyder Punjotha, filed a motion in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday, requesting the court to grant ‘A’ class privileges to the former prime minister while he is in custody.

In Chief Justice Aamer Farooq’s court, Sher Afzal Marwat appeared on behalf of the PTI Chairman.

Marwat questioned why the PTI head should remain in Attock Jail for his court appearances. He asked the court to provide orders transferring his client from Attock to Adiala Jail, as well as issuing instructions for the supply of handmade food and meetings.

The IHC CJ postponed further consideration of the case until Friday after requesting a response from the federal and Punjab governments.

Authorities sent the PTI chairman, who had been arrest in the Toshakhana case on Saturday, to Attock jail.

However, Amidst tight security, authorities transferred the PTI leader to the district jail in Attock.
