LAHORE: On Wednesday, the Lahore High Court (LHC) prolonged the suspension of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chairman Following Imran Khan’s disqualification in the Toshakhana reference, the ECP started processes to remove him as chairman of the PTI.
Justice Jawad Hassan of the LHC took up the claim seeking Khan’s dismissal as party leader. To create a full court bench, the court has submitted the case to the chief justice of the LHC.

The Pakistani Election Commission prolonged the injunction that prevent Imran Khan from being targeted by the LHC.
As a result of Khan’s disqualification in the Toshakhana issue, the Lahore High Court earlier prevented the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) from removing him from his position as chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief filed a petition. In the petition, he claimed that the electoral body attempted to depose him as the leader of the party. He also alleged that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) had “illegally” served him with a notice. The chief is seeking legal action to challenge the notice.
