Virat Kohli’s undefeated hundred and Shubman Gill’s half-century helped India defeat Bangladesh by seven wickets in the ICC World Cup 2023.

India beat Bangladesh: Bangladesh chose to bat first, and despite a strong start from their openers Tanzid Hasan and Litton Das, they were only able to score 256/8 in the allocated 50 overs.

Kuldeep Yadav sent Tanzid Hasan out shortly after he reached his half-century, following a dominant 93-run partnership and performance against the Indian bowlers.

With the help of five boundaries and three sixes, he got 51 runs off of just 43 deliveries.

While this was going on, Das maintained his composure and formed quick partnerships with Najmul Hossain Shanto (9) and Mehidy Hasan Miraz (3) before ultimately falling in the 28th over with 137 runs already scored.

He continued to lead Bangladesh in scoring with an 82-ball 66 that included seven boundaries.

Mushfiqur Rahim replaced Towhid Hridoy at the crease after he was dismiss. The pair set together a solid 42-run partnership that held until the former’s retirement in the 38th over.

“Jasprit Bumrah dismissed Rahim on 38 with a slower delivery after a brief 22-run partnership with Mahmudullah.” His 46-ball innings included a six and a boundary.

Mahmudullah then assumed control of Bangladesh’s batting effort, contributing crucial runs towards the conclusion of the innings before Bumrah dismissed him in the last over.

He continued to be a significant run-scorer for Bangladesh with a quick 36-ball 46 that included three boundaries and the same number of sixes.

India’s bowling assault was headed by Ravindra Jadeja, Jasprit Bumrah, and Mohammed Siraj, who each took two wickets. Kuldeep Yadav and Shardul Thakur each took one wicket.
