India defeated Pakistan 2-1 to win the Junior Hockey Asia Cup in 2023, giving them four championships.

With a spectacular field goal in the 12th minute, Singh Angad Bir gave India the lead in the opening round of play.
Just four minutes into the second quarter, Hundal Araijeet Singh extended India’s lead while Pakistan missed a few chances to score an equalizer.
The green shirts’ fortunes changed in the third quarter when Ali Basharat successfully converted a field goal in the 37th minute to give them their first goal of the game.
Due to Basharat’s goal, India had to play more defensively and cordoned off their post to prevent Pakistan from scoring the equalizer.
Pakistan made repeated attempts to get past India’s defenses by dribbling past their defenders, earning penalty corners, but they were unsuccessful, and India easily won the game.
