The Indian government announced on Thursday that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to Johannesburg this month to attend a BRICS summit.

Earlier on Thursday, Modi spoke over the phone with Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa, according to the Indian government.
As per the statement, the President of South Africa has expressed keenness to visit India for the G20 conference later this year. His interest lies in attending the important international event and engaging in discussions with other world leaders on various global issues.
