Interim Information Minister Murtaza Solangi stated on Friday that the caretaker administration had no plans to postpone elections.

Interim govt no plans to delay elections: “Neither I nor the administration have a position on him. During a news conference in Islamabad, when he was discussing cabinet selections, he faced a question about the timetable for general elections. He responded, “It is not our job. “The election commission has this responsibility. We must help them; that is our duty.

The question arose due to the ECP’s decision to carry out new delimitation, a result of meeting participants agreeing that holding elections within the constitutionally mandated 90 days was not possible.

Many analysts were concerned that, for the aforementioned reason, the general elections might not be place within 90 days following the assembly’s dissolution.

According to the law, ECP is in charge of conducting elections. I’ll ask you to come to the ECP visit. They have provided a justification for having elections as well as a timeline up until when delimitations will take place. They have to do it. You are aware that this case is somewhat pending because a party or a few legal professionals have contacted the supreme court. The caretaker government is not responsible for this. Elections will be held by ECP. We have no wishes in this regard.

Solangi proceeded by asserting that the ECP possesses its own rationale for delimitation and affirmed that the government was ready to back the organization in its efforts. But he emphasised that the nation will uphold its obligations while it was in power.

When asked about the potential violation of the Constitution, Solangi answered that the nation’s institutions ensure the adherence to laws. “We will do as the ECP directs.”

Following the Pakistan Bar Council’s concerns on the ECP’s decision to draw new delineations, which increased the probability of an election delay, Solangi held a news conference.

Elections will take place on time, according to Shehbaz.

On the other hand, Shehbaz Sharif, a former prime minister, assured Geo News that elections will be held on schedule “at any cost.”

Shehbaz added that Nawaz Sharif will take over as prime minister if the PMLN won the elections. He continued by saying that he was merely a worker and that Nawaz was the leader.
