Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian, members of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) should remove all Israeli diplomats and impose an oil embargo and other measures on Israel.
Iran calls Islamic countries: After a bombing at a Gaza hospital late on Tuesday killed numerous Palestinians, the OIC is holding an urgent conference in the Saudi Arabia city of Jeddah to tackle the worsening Israeli-Palestinian crisis.
The Iranian foreign ministry released a statement calling for an immediate and complete embargo on Israel by Islamic countries, including oil sanctions, as well as the expulsion of Israeli ambassadors if relations with the Zionist regime have been establish.
Amirabdollahian also demanded the creation of a group of Muslim solicitors to investigate any possible war crimes Israel may have perpetrated in Gaza.
Israel and Iran do not exchange diplomatic relations.
Before the bombing at the Gaza hospital on Tuesday, health officials in Gaza estimated that Israel’s 11-day bombardment, which started after a Hamas attack on the southern Israeli communities on October 7, had resulted in at least 3,000 deaths and the taking of 200 hostages into Gaza.
