Iran’s Khamenei urges Muslim countries to boycott Israel

Iran’s Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, demanded that Muslim countries stop exporting food and oil to Israel and that the country stop bombarding the Gaza Strip.

Khamenei urges Muslim countries boycott Israel: “While speaking to a gathering of students in Tehran, Khamenei stated, ‘The bombings on Gaza must stop immediately… the path of oil and food exports to the Zionist regime should be stop,’ according to Iranian official television.”

“In retaliation for an attack on October 7 that claimed 1,400 lives and resulted in hundreds being taken captive, Israel has pledged to destroy Hamas, which controls Gaza and is supported by Tehran.”

Israel has besieged the territory and begun an unprecedented bombing on Gaza. According to Palestinian officials, almost 8,000 people have died.

Iran’s clerical rulers have warned Israel that if it does not cease its attacks on the Palestinians, they will launch more assaults. Officials have indicated that proxies in the Middle East, who receive support from Tehran, stand ready to take action.

Since the Islamic Revolution of 1979, the Islamic Republic has made support for the Palestinian cause a cornerstone of its politics and a means by which its Shia theocracy has established Iran as a leader in the Muslim world.

“Iran’s supreme leader, Khamenei, accused the US of involvement in Israel’s ‘recent crimes against Palestinians’.”

“The Islamic world should not forget that in the crucial issue of Gaza, those standing against the oppressed Palestinian nation were the United States, France and Britain,” Khamenei remarked amid cries like “Death to Israel” and Great “Death to America” .

Furthermore, Tehran rejects Israel’s recognition. For years, Israel has charged that Iran’s clerical rulers are inciting violence by arming Hamas. Tehran claims to back the organisation that governs the Gaza Strip both morally and financially.

However, “One of the shameless acts of the West is accusing Palestinian fighters of terrorism,” remarked Khamenei.
