A Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader’s detention was mandated by an Islamabad sessions court on Monday due to a sedition charge.

court directs FIA to arrest Shahbaz Gill: Gill was the subject of a case that was opened at the Kohsar police station in Islamabad. He was charged with dividing the government organisation.

Judge Tahir Abbas Sepra of additional sessions took over the sedition charge against Gill.

The judge stated at the beginning of the hearing that Gill is purposefully holding up the case’s procedures.

The court directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to arrest Shahbaz Gill and bring him before the court if he shows up at any airport in Pakistan as a result of his persistent absence from the hearings.

The court ordered the chairman of the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to halt the issuance of CNICs. This directive was given to ensure compliance with the court’s decision.

The court further ordered the involved parties to post notice of the fugitive at his Faisalabad home. The court has also requested information regarding the properties that are registered in Gill’s name in Faisalabad and Islamabad.

However, It should be mentioned that on March 29, the Lahore High Court (LHC) authorised former SAPM and leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Shahbaz Gill, to travel to the US for four weeks.
