Jahangir Tareen’s legal team will probably approach the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) today to request registration of the new political party on behalf of the former Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) secretary general.
Jahangir Tareen move ECP for registration party: On Thursday, Tareen asked his political allies for suggestions for names for his new party.
Sources familiar with the situation have indicated that Tareen will meet Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders in Lahore today. In addition, Tanveer Ilyas, a former prime minister of the AJK, and Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Q, anticipate a meeting with him.
According to the sources, Tareen’s legal team will ask the ECP to register the new party.
To create a new political coalition, prominent politician Jahangir Tareen met with Aleem Khan, a former provincial minister for Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, a few days ago.
Also, Aleem Khan and Jahangir Tareen spoke about issues about forming a new party and the future of those who have quit.
According to sources, attendees proposed creating a new political party rather than a pressure group because the latter could stand up for people’s rights.
