Justice Isa fines lawyer: According to reports, the Chief Justice of Pakistan fined a lawyer Rs. 5,000 for squandering the Supreme Court’s time in a property matter.

The senior judge observed that instead of concentrating on the merits of the cases, the attorney wasted SC’s time and attempted to mislead the court.

CJP Justice Qazi Faez Isa told the attorney, “The court has lost trust in you,” and he fined him Rs. 5,000.

The top judge said that you must show your receipt after paying your fine to any charity.

Separately, Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Isa promised to develop a “comprehensive policy” on fixing pending cases and the creation of benches during a meeting with bar councils on Wednesday.

Hassan Raza Pasha, the chairman of the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC), revealed the news during a press conference that followed a meeting with Chief Justice of Pakistan Isa Senior Puisne Judge Justice Sardar Tariq Masood.

The Supreme Court Bar Association (SCBA) and Pakistan Bar Council (PBC) representatives were called before the court’s judges to discuss matters pertaining to the creation of benches, pending cases, the prompt administration of justice, and the fixing and hearing of cases.
