After the call to bat, Tahir contributed 65 runs off 46 balls and, in a brave partnership with Matthew Wade, added 107 runs to help the Kings reach 167/3 in 20 overs.

On the other hand, Tahir anchored the innings alongside Wade, solidly holding the crease with a 47-ball 46 after dangerman James Vince was dismissed early. Vince had hit 27 from 12 balls off Anwar Ali in the fourth over.

Tahir’s first PSL innings included eight brilliant boundaries and a maximum, and he helped the Kings reach 141 in the 17th over when Ihsanullah caught him lbw.

Wade quickly followed suit and, while attempting his famous shot on his subsequent over but entirely missing the ball, succumbed to the right arm fast.

However, Imad, the captain, had a wonderful cameo of 14 from 6 balls and squeezed 12 runs from the final 4 balls of the innings to regain some momentum that had gone in Multans’ favor over the previous 5 overs.
