The Line of Control (LoC), Kashmiris protested the atrocities committed by New Delhi in the occupied region today as India celebrated the 77th anniversary of its independence and observed it as a black day.
Kashmiris observe India’s independence day as black day: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference, supported by all Hurriyat leaders and organizations, has issued a call for a complete shutdown in Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
“People are flying black flags everywhere and organizing demonstrations to protest against the grave human rights abuses committed by Indian troops in the area.”
To call attention to Indian atrocities in the occupied region, Kashmiris all over the world will also hold anti-India protests.
Paradise becomes a military outpost.
Meanwhile, Srinagar in particular has been turned into a military fortress by the occupation authorities.
A multi-layer security setup, encompassing both ground and aircraft surveillance, has covered the area. The Bakhshi Stadium in Srinagar, where the ceremonial event will take place, has been fortified with the deployment of paramilitary forces, new bunkers, and barriers.
The people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir celebrated Pakistan’s Independence Day with great fervour and devotion despite the limitations. At many locations throughout the Kashmir valley, young people gathered in small groups and yelled pro-Pakistan slogans. In other places, residents have even flown Pakistani flags from their homes. The Kashmiris lit firecrackers when the clock struck midnight to celebrate Pakistan’s independence without being afraid.
Farooq Abdullah, the president of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, stated during a speech in Srinagar that the Bharat Janata Party is experiencing unprecedented popular resentment throughout Jammu and Kashmir as a result of its anti-poor, anti-middle class policies, and the tax terrorism it has imposed on the Kashmiris.
