A bomb and gunfire occurred in the Bara market in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), injuring several police officers.
KP’s Bara market closed after blast: As per information, a flurry of gunfire followed the detonation near the police station in Khyber’s Bara bazaar.
Early reports indicate that rescue sources have transported the injured cops to the CMH, and they have closed the market due to security concerns resulting from the event.
After the explosion and gunfire, a sizable security force contingent arrived.

Speaking to reporters close to the blast site, Cantt Superintendent of Police (SP) Waqas Rafi confirmed the explosion was a suicide bombing and described how it targeted an FC convoy that was travelling through Hayatabad’s phase 6.
However, The police officer claimed that the terrorists had intended to target security forces personnel.
