Asad Umar, a former federal minister and PTI leader, had his temporary release in the case involving the Askari Tower attack on May 9 extended by an anti-terrorism court (ATC) on Tuesday.
ATC extends Asad Umar’s bail: Asad Umar appeared before ATC Judge Aijaz Ahmed Battar today since his temporary bail ran out.
The judge extended Asad Umar’s interim bail until June 2 so that he actively cooperated in the case investigation. Additionally, the former federal minister presented surety bonds supporting his temporary release.
Asad Umar has been involved in committing several crimes at the ATC, including vandalizing the Judicial Complex and participating in protests on Canal Road.
