LHC orders release Parvez Elahi: Pervez Elahi, a former chief minister of Punjab, appeared before the court in the Assets Beyond Means case.

Justice Amjad Rafiq, presiding over the case at the Lahore High Court (LHC), ordered the release of the former Chief Minister (CM) of Punjab, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi.

It’s important to note that the National Accountability agency (NAB) arrested Elahi because he failed to provide the accountability agency with information regarding a case involving assets beyond means that implicated him, his son Monis Elahi, and other family members.

According to NAB sources, Moonis Elahi is also the subject of an investigation into the case involving disproportionate assets.

A team from NAB Lahore took former Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi from Adiala Jail to appear before the session court in Rawalpindi for transit remand.
