Mickey Arthur, the men’s cricket team’s director, has travelled to Sri Lanka with the Pakistani team, according to HAMBANTOTA.
Mickey Arthur joins Pakistan squad: He will remain with the group for the final matches of the ODI series against Afghanistan and into the eagerly awaited Asia Cup encounter against India in Kandy on September 2.
The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 will take place in India next month, and the previous head coach will be a part of the coaching staff there.
Before leaving for Sri Lanka last week, Pakistan’s head coach Grant Bradburn expressed his delight at having Mickey Arthur join the team there.
“Strategic Leadership and Reunion with Mickey Arthur: A New Path for the Squad”
“Mickey Arthur and I have been wonderful friends and excellent coaching partners for a very long time. He is a part of the strategy to lead this squad in a different path, and we communicate regularly, according to Grant Bradburn.
Scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka on August 23, Mickey Arthur will stay with us until the team’s game against India in Kandy. Later, he’ll accompany us to India for the World Cup.
In the earlier part of this year, the Pakistan men’s cricket team appointed Mickey Arthur as its Director. Arthur’s responsibilities in this position include developing, implementing, and supervising the tactics used by the Pakistan men’s squad.
Mickey Arthur said, “I am absolutely thrilled to be rejoining the Pakistan cricket team and look forward to working with the group,” expressing his excitement at the appointment.
Since then, I have kept tabs on the players’ individual and team performances. This group of individuals has the talent to be the best in the world across all formats, therefore my goal is to put tactics in place and foster an environment that can help them perform to the best of their abilities.
After inflicting a humiliating 142-run loss on Afghanistan, Pakistan’s side now leads the three-match ODI series.
After the ODI series is over, the Pakistani side will play Nepal in the opening match of the Asia Cup, which gets underway on August 30 at Multan Cricket Stadium.
